Working with Exercise Diet PlansThe Stuck-in-a-Rut Dieting TrapJohn and I have had the same experiences with exercise diet plans—and maybe you do too. After weeks of trial and error, you have finally found exercise diet plans you think you can live with. The food is simple, affordable and fairly tolerable to eat. There are no complicated measurements or calculations to deal with, just this very simple meal plan and a very easy-to-follow exercise routine. However, the problem with words like simple and easy are that all too soon they change to boring and monotonous and you have a problem. You are now stuck in a rut and the choices you face are these: You can start looking for a new dieting plan (again), you can change things around a bit with this plan, or you can just toss in the towel, eat everything in sight, cry at your failure and then go take a nap. All in all, busting out of the rut and trying to shake things up a bit is your best bet.Food plans, not food lawWhen you started your dieting plan, you were given a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner menu. At the end of each day's meal, you knew the total calorie count, the fat grams, the carbohydrate grams, and so on. Try this game changer: Instead of allowing yourself only what was on the plan, find foods that will have the same numbers and substitute them here and there. As long as you are eating the same number of calories and the same number of fat and carbohydrate grams you should continue to lose weight. If you don't lose weight see if you need to adjust the calorie count. For instance, as you lose weight, the amount of calories that you need each day will go down unless you are increasing your exercise activity. Exercise is exerciseIf you are bored with the suggested exercise that was included with the plan, it is time for you to change things up a bit there as well. Remember, your body is a model of efficiency! Once it learns a routine, it will work as little as possible to get things done. This is why you must either up your weights during strength training sessions or increase your reps to see the best results. Once you are feeling bored with an exercise, your body is bored too! Change things up a bit. Go a little longer, a little harder, a little faster, no matter what you are doing. Walk backwards on the treadmill for an amazing butt workout. Grab a hula hoop and hoop your way to flat, firm abs and a whittled waist. Turn up the music and boogie until you are wet with sweat. The whole point of suggesting exercise with the diet plan is to get you up and off the couch. Now that you are up, you can figure out what to do with yourself. Your Exercise Diet Plans...are a guideline, not a prescription. If you feel like you are in a rut, you are far more likely to give up and quit. Keep things exciting and you will stick with it until you finally reach your goal. Article contributed by John from My Fitness Content. Your source for unique fitness articles.
